Description of Depression

Depression, or Major Depressive Disorder, "is a mental disorder typically characterized by a pervasive low mood, low self-esteem, and loss of interest or pleasure in usual activities," Defined by Wikipedia. It is not something someone can simply, "Get over." In cases in which it affects a person's everday life, therapy or medication is necessary. However, when a person is sucked into the wild world that is Advertisements, they can become easily confused and think he or she is depressed, and runs to the doctor. It's a false sense of sadness, and it can often be because of low self-esteem or confidence. In the following postings, I will describe the overprescription of anti-depressants.

In the United States alone, 60% of people who commit suicide have some kind of mood disorder, like Depression. Depression will be the second largest killer after heart disease by 2020. Women experience depression about twice as often as men. There. Done.
